The major international canoeing events have ended and it is time for the recreational events that attract many participants from different countries. One of those traditional events is Krumlov marathon in Czech Republic. Among the participants were also national team members in sprint, marathon and wildwater canoeing.

Hungary again won the majority of the medals. Vanda Kiszli became World Champion both in short distance race as well as in 25.9 kilometres long marathon.
