French dominate in kayak cross of European Championships on their home course

The 2025 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Vaires-sur-Marne concluded with the kayak cross events, where the last four sets of medals were awarded. French paddler Camille Prigent claimed a double European Champion title, while Belgium's Gabriel de Coster and Czech athlete Jakub Krejci also climbed to the top of the podium.

Saturday's programme at the 2025 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships on the Olympic course in Vaires-sur-Marne offered very intense and unforgettable battles, along with some surprises. In the kayak events, Olympic champions from Tokyo Ricarda Funk and Jiri Prskavec took the victories, while in canoe, Monica Doria and Miquel Trave won their first career European champion titles.

The second day of the 2025 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships, held on the Olympic course that hosted the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, featured the heats runs for all four individual events. In the men’s kayak, the fastest was French paddler Castryck, in the women’s kayak Nesnidalova from Czechia, in the women’s canoe German Herzog, and in the men’s canoe Trave from Spain.
