Seven teams – women’s and men’s – will compete this weekend at the canoe polo tournament within the World Games that are being held now in Wroclav, Poland. The World Games are an international multi-sport event, meant for sports, or disciplines or events within a sport, which are not contested in the Olympic Games. The World Games are held every four years, since their debut in 1981, one year after the Summer Olympic Games. Canoe Polo was first part of the World Games in 2005 in Duisburg, Germany.

It was Germany who won both in men’s and women’s final of the tournament. Men’s team beat Denmark’s A team in the final, while it was a certain win for Germany in women’s final with Germany playing against the team Germany UA. Sweden finished third and Poland fourth in women’s event, while Denmark B and Sweden concluded the tournament in third and fourth place.
