French dominate in kayak cross of European Championships on their home course

The 2025 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Vaires-sur-Marne concluded with the kayak cross events, where the last four sets of medals were awarded. French kayakers dominated the heats at the home European Championships

The second day of the 2025 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships, held on the Olympic course that hosted the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, featured the heats runs for all four individual events. In the men’s kayak, the fastest was French paddler Castryck, in the women’s kayak Nesnidalova from Czechia, in the women’s canoe German Herzog, and in the men’s canoe Trave from Spain.
