Portugal, a powerhouse in canoeing and renowned for its excellent organisation of major international canoeing events, will this week host one of the highlights of the European canoeing season. The 2025 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships will take place in Ponte de Lima between 2nd and 8th June.

The International Canoe Federation and European Canoe Association have issued a joint call for further support to help long-suffering Ukrainian paddlers.

The first tournament in this year’s ECA Canoe Polo European Cup series took place in Switzerland, more precisely in Pfyn. Victories in four events were claimed by representatives from Germany, the Netherlands, and France.
