A Historic Return to a Legendary Venue

Twenty years after hosting the 2005 World Championships, the Penrith Whitewater Stadium in New South Wales, Australia, once again rocked to the rhythm of world-class canoe slalom from September 29 to October 4, 2025.

After four days of intense tournament, the 2025 ECA Canoe Polo European Championships concluded in Avranches, France. In the Men’s Senior tournament, the European crown went to Spain, while Germany claimed gold in the Women’s Senior event. The host nation France celebrated victory in the Men’s U21 tournament, and Spain topped the podium in the Women’s U21 category. France took medals in every event and made the most of the home advantage, particularly in the Men’s U21 final.

The third day of competition at the 2025 ECA Canoe Polo European Championships in Avranches, France, brought the first crucial knockout matches. All quarter-finals have now been played, revealing which teams will battle for medals on Sunday. Still in contention are the national teams of France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands.
