Canoe slalom paddlers Eva Terčelj and Žiga Lin Hočevar were named the best Slovenian paddlers of the year 2024. It was another season to remember for Canoe Federation of Slovenia, namely, a total of 29 athletes reached the podium in the season 2024 at World and European Championships across various age groups: Senior, U23, and Junior, as well as at the World Cups.

Back in November 2024, Canoeing Ireland celebrated those who excelled in the previous year during their annual celebration Canoeing Ireland Awards. The event honoured not only sporting achievements, but also individuals who made significant contributions to other areas of canoeing.

The 2025 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships will take place in Bascov – Pitesti (ROU) this July. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 2^nd July.

The 2025 ECA Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe European Championships will take place between 19^th and 22^nd June 2025 in Racice, Czechia, on a very well-known venue, which hosted the senior ECA Canoe Sprint European Championships already in 2006 and 2015.
