Madore, Luther, Rihova and Delassus lead the first qualification day in Bratislava

The 2018 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, kicked off with heats in junior and U23 categories of men's kayak and women's canoe. Mathurin Madore was the fastest in men's U23 kayak heats, Jakob Luther in men's junior heats, while Marjorie Delassus and Eva Rihova led the women's canoe in U23 and junior categories.

Organisers are dealing with the last details before the 2018 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, kicks off this Wednesday with an opening ceremony. The competition part of the European Championships will be held between Thursday and Sunday. The first medallists will be known on Friday when team events are scheduled, while on Saturday and Sunday we will follow individual semi-finals and finals.

ECA Junior Canoe Slalom Cup – 2018 overall standings

After 12 races in six competition weekends and as many venues we have the overall winners of the 2018 ECA Junior Canoe Slalom Cup series. Athletes who can take part in this event series are grouped into two age categories – U18 and U16 and compete in men’s and women’s kayak and canoe and C2 events. This year the series lead young competitors to Valstagna, Augsburg, Flattach, Solkan, Krakow and Česke Budejovice.
