Delegates approved the new ECA statutes at the Extraordinary Congress

European Canoe Association (ECA) held an Extraordinary Congress in Antalya, Turkiye, to introduce the proposal of new and modernized Statutes which were thoughtfully prepared by the ECA Board of Directors and appointed working group. The delegates approved the proposed changes to the ECA Statutes.

Rest in peace, Frank Garner
The European Canoe Association is deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Frank Garner, a cherished member of the canoeing community. A former canoe sprinter and member of the Canadian national team dedicated his life to canoeing and sports and was instrumental to organising many major international sporting competitions (not only canoeing) in Canada. He also served as the chair of ICF’s canoe sprint committee for many years.
We would like to express sincere condolences to his family and friends. Frank, rest in peace.

Only a couple of days before his 70th birthday former Bulgarian canoe sprinter Borislav Borisov passed away. He won bronze Olympic medal at the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games.
