Luciano Buonfiglio was re-elected to the position of the president of the Italian Canoe Federation earlier this month. The election took place in the Fencing Hall of the Foro Italico and the different positions were awarded for the Olympic cycle 2025 – 2028.

China hosted this year’s edition of the 2024 ICF Canoe Polo World Championships and the World Champion title in men’s senior tournament stayed in the hands of the defending champions from Germany. Italy won silver medal in women’s senior tournament.

The first finals of the ICF Canoe Polo World Championships in China were played in the U21 categories, where Spain defended their title in men’s U21 tournament and France celebrated their first World champion title in 14 years in women’s U21 tournament.

The 22^nd edition of the Krumlov Canoe Marathon took place this weekend in Czechia. German-French duo Nico Paufler – Cyrille Carre won the competition and concluded the 36 kilometres long course more than one minute faster than the closest rivals.
