Some of the ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Cups are cancelled too 19.3.2020

Due to Covid-19 pandemic the International Canoe Federation cancelled or postponed all international canoeing competitions until the end of May. It was also inevitable to cancel the 2020 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in London. The same goes for the first scheduled competitions in the ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Cup series.

ECA’s technical delegate for wildwater canoeing Mrs. Manuela Gawehn has confirmed that the first races are cancelled, “We will follow the ICF and cancel all competitions until the end of May. We are currently monitoring the situation and will try to find new competition days later in the year.”

Early in March the organisers of the race in Banja Luka postponed the race to August (28th and 29th) due to coronavirus. With the situation getting worse across Europe and world, now the scheduled ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Cup races in Skopje (4-5 April), Osilnica – Kolpa River (9-10 April) and Roudnice (16-17 May) have all been cancelled too.
