Paracanoe team and Henshaw awarded in Nottingham 8.11.2019

After another successful season for British Paracanoeing team with medals at European and World Paracanoe Championships the team members received recognition at the 2019 Nottingham Post Sports Awards.

The award for the Team of the Year went to British paracanoe team after they have secured seven boat quota places for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, in addition to six medals they have won at World Championships in Szeged.

Charlotte Henshaw also received an individual award after being named the Disabled Sportsperson of the Year. 32-year-old paddler first became the Paracanoe European Champion in Poznan, and added two World titles at Paracanoe World Championships in Hungary, winning in women’s KL2 and VL3 events.
