Italian celebration at ECA Wildwater Sprint Canoeing European Cup Piateda 8.7.2019

Valtellina hosted the 2019 ECA Wildwater Sprint Canoeing European Cup race and it was a complete Italian celebration in four senior events that were held togehter with Italian championships.


In men's K1 final Leonardo Pontarollo from Italy showed the best form to win the race in front of his compatriot Davide Maccagnan, while Belgian representative who is also a flatwater sprint racer Maxime Richard picked up bronze medal.
 
In women's kayak event Italian kayaker Mathilde Rosa won the gold medal in front of her teammate Giulia Formenton, while Austrian paddler Valentina Dreier won bronze medal.
 
In both canoe events - men's and women's - only Italian representatives reached the podium. Mattia Quintarelli, Federico Erriquez and Giorgio dell'Agostino celebrated in men's final, while Cecilia Panato, Marlene Ricciardi and Valentina Razzauti won medals in women's canoe final.
