The 2025 ECA Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe European Championships in Racice began with the heats. On the opening day, the main favourites had no difficulties progressing to the next stage of the competition.

The day featured intense heats races, with several boats already booking places in the finals set for Saturday and Sunday.

In the prestigious K4 500 metres events, six men’s and six women’s teams have already secured spots in the A finals.
