Danish Canoe Sprint team used plan C

With winter knocking on the door many European teams have found themselves in doubt where to send their athletes to the winter training camps and still ensure safe training environment.

While several European teams already train in Turkey, the Danish canoe sprint team decided to stay at home. Head coach of the sprint team Zoltan Bako said, "As usual plan A in November used to be one month exactly, four weeks, in Florida. But because of the situation with coronavirus, we had a plan B and plan C."

Plan B was training camp in Portugal, but since the conditions in Portugal are also worsening, the Danish team decided to stay at home, and train in Bagsværd. Unfortunately, the conditions there are challenging, "The time, how much we can spend on water, is limited because of the cold weather. But otherwise we can say it's ok."
